"I don't know how many containers we've thrown away because of lost lids, but more than a few. What a waste of money. Trouvé really makes sense. I just wonder why somebody didn't think of this before."
Sally Griswold - Busy mom and wife

Use & Care of your Trouvé

Flip your lid! (That is to say, don't forget to attach the lid to the bottom of the container before you put it away. Trouvé is a new concept in storage and as such, it may take an initial effort to remember to store the lid on the bottom.)

Tips for Using

  • Top rack dishwasher safe.
  • Microwave safe*
  • Wash before first use.
  • Do not microwave with lid attached
  • Do not use in a conventional oven, on a stovetop, or grill.
  • Coat with a little cooking spray prior to storing tomato based foods to help prevent stains.
  • Occasionally the lid may seem too tight, this is because plastic expands & contracts with temperature changes. If this happens, submerge the lid in hot water for a few moments and put it back on the container while it's still warm.

* We recommend limiting microwave use to reheating stored contents and do not recommend cooking in them.

Tips for Cleaning

  • When hand washing use only soft sponge or cloth & hot soapy water. (Use dish soap only- do not use harsh or abrasive cleaners.)
  • Detach lid before washing.
  • When using the dishwasher, use the top rack only.

Tips for Storing

  • Dry Container thoroughly inside and out, attach lid to vented base. Store nested within next largest size.
  • Safety Reminder- when contents are hot, handle with care & use potholders.

The following factors may cause surface blistering, staining, or warping.

  • Heating contents high in fat or sugar.
  • Prolonged microwave use at high temperatures.
  • Tomato based foods & foods with a high acid content.
  • Hot liquids being poured directly into the container (Allow liquids to cool before pouring into container.)
